  • Design and implement integrated communications strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement among key audiences, bolster marketing campaigns, and support philanthropic priorities.

  • Lead impact storytelling from project identification to story cultivation, coordination with the National Park Service and grantees, and media outreach and execution. Introduced collaborative approach to achieve greater visibility, messaging saturation, and efficiency between channel managers.

  • Engage and equip spokespeople to represent the organization by providing talking points, media training, and communications toolkits. Last quarter, grantee toolkits generated 20+ media clips in local and regional media.

  • Liaise with the National Park Service and other partners to support major events, initiatives, and programs. For 2024 National Christmas Tree Lighting, facilitated 10+ day-of broadcast segments.

  • Coordinate the organization’s rapid response strategy and messaging to mitigate reputational risks, maintain positioning, and address stakeholder questions.

  • Led the development of a multi-year strategy to transition the team from a PR and media function to a strategic communications function. Provide mentorship to growing team.
